A note from our Presidents:
April 12, 2018
It's so hard to believe we are talking about our end of year Retirement and Recognition Luncheon. Where does the time go? Our event will take place on Thursday, May 31st, 11:30 a.m., at The Farmstead, 88 Lawrence Road, Lafayette, NJ. This year we are graciously being hosted by William Paterson University who will present their school and programs followed by a brief overview from Kurt Walton of the new Pass It Along programs coming to the schools. We will also get some input on our fall inservice which Becky and Jenn from the Center for Prevention are already working on! We will review the awesome Middle School and High School Caring Awards, as well as scholarships. Following this we will be honoring our Counselor of the County in addition to our retirees! I of course, can't forget to mention enjoying a delicious lunch as well!
As per usual, it promises to be a very informative and enjoyable meeting. We certainly hope you will be able to join us. Please respond to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, May 11th. Looking forward to seeing you on the 31st!
Joanne and Lisa
Information Regarding Morris County School Counselor Association (MCPCA):
We had our first MCPCA Executive Board meeting this week and Morris is very interested in continuing our shared relationship with Sussex. The only item I've been asked to pass along to you is that MCPCA's by-laws require MCPCA membership dues used for student scholarships must go to students attending Morris County high schools.
So any Sussex County counselors who would like to join MCPCA, come to Morris County's dinner meetings, participate fully in all MCPCA PD, communication, etc., are invited to join MCPCA by clicking here and we welcome them all!
...and I hope you both have a great year, too!

In order to ensure the day is filled with workshops, speakers and topics you find useful and important to the work you do at your school, please take a couple minutes to open the survey monkey and complete. Thank you in advance! ~Becky

It was another beautiful ceremony at Sussex County Community College as Todd and Julie once again graciously hosted our High School Caring Awards. Thanks so much for the wonderful breakfast and the beautiful venue for such an inspirational morning. It is always so fabulous to hear about the great things our Sussex County teens are doing! Thank you also to Dr. Jon Connolly for his very inspirational words at the conclusion of the ceremony.
